We are in the midst of the largest VBS we’ve ever hosted!
Help us pray for the children and their parents…
Normally, we wait until the end of our VBS to share wih you all that was accomplished for the Kingdom. This year, we would like to make a plea for prayer as something special is happening this year. We have been having the largest attendance ever! On Monday, we had over 120 kids, and that number has continued to grow. If the pattern of previous years holds true, we may be looking at an attendance of over 150 kids by Friday, maybe more.
We are excited about this in spite of the challenges it represents to managing such a large group in our small facility. Also, there have been several parents talking to us as they drop their children off. We are praying for an opportunity to deepen relationships with them and ultimately, to open the door to share the Gospel.
We are especially excited as we are doing all of this with a “new generation” of teens who have never taught before. The girls who have always helped us before are all in University now, so we are starting with a fresh group of young people who are teaching the lessons and leading the kids.
We are also excited to see Shirley, who many of you have been praying for, back in the ministry. Her humility and repentant attitude has opened the doors to complete restoration in the congregation after leaving the church two years ago. Her experience and willingness to serve has been a great inspiration to the younger generation.
Please help us pray for Thursday and Friday’s clubs, as well as our closing ceremony on Sunday that the whole family is invited.
